VENTUS S1 evo² - The experience of HANKOOK

The tyre producer Hankook is constantly extending its presence in the segment of premium tyres. Their high performance tyre Ventus S1 evo² has been integrated as original equipment in all models of BMW 5 series since August 2013. After MINI, BMW 1 and BMW 2, now a forth model of the Hankook tyres is being also used by BMW group. What is more, Mercedes-Benz E class shall be also equipped with originally integrated Ventus S1 evo² tyres. The original tyre Ventus Prime2 for Mercedes-Benz S-class is considered as the highest point of safety.

Ventus S1 evo² is highly efficient, design-oriented wide tyre for drivers with sport ambitions. The elegant profile of this directional tyre, 3D blocks structure and aerodynamically optimized sidewall is a great combination of style and excellent driving experience together with the factors, significant for such class of vehicles, important for the environment, such as noise and rolling resistance. The concept of the Ventus S1 evo² tyre is directed towards drivers of powerful, dynamic vehicles, requiring uncompromising and sport efficiency along all parameters. All this is not on the account of the suspension comfort, low noise and rolling resistance. The combination achieved between all dynamic qualities of Ventus S1 evo² is also a result of the successful commitment of Hankook as exclusive partner of the renowned international DTM contest.

The experience, gained from DTM, is literally applied in Ventus S1 evo². Thanks to the new mixing technology for the tread creation a reduced rolling resistance is achieved, as well as high driving dynamics and optimized braking on wet surface. The longer mixing time at lower temperatures results in better bonding between the separate parts of the protector and restricted heating when on the road. The three-layer DTM-inspired design of the blocks leads to continuous good gripping, and the stepwise-situated external edges improves the footprint of the tyre during the period of progressive wearing. All this is a guarantee for good balance and excellent technical characteristics on both dry and wet road.
